Red Eye Ratings for January 2014

Red Eye had another one of its best rating months.

In total viewers, the show averaged 488,000 viewers a night. This made it the 21st ranked show. This might be the new highest ranking for the show and the third highest month in viewers. This is up from 392,000 (24% increase) and 37th in January 2013. For I believe the first time ever, the show beat every CNN show in total viewers. For the third time in the last four months, the show had one of it's top five months ever.

In the 25-54 demo, the show averaged 195,000 viewers a night. This made it the 20th ranked show. This is up from 142,000 (37% increase) and 29th in January 2013. The closest CNN show trailed by 58,000 viewers.

- I thought that the lineup changes on Fox News had a big impact on the show's recent ratings, but four months later I don't think it is making much of a difference anymore. I think the show's changes have made a bigger difference. Getting rid of the halftime report has probably had nearly as big of an impact on the show's ratings as when Greg joined The Five. The show did get good ratings when Andy was still at the end, so it wasn't really that segment, it was just the show no longer being split in half.

Not sure what difference Bill not being there anymore has made. Ratings might be the same if it was Andy that was gone and Bill was still there.

The show seems to book some guests a little too often, but it also seems like a lot of the current regulars are liked by the viewers.
